Developmental Coordination Disorders
Developmental coordination disorders, sometimes referred to as dyspraxia, affect the initiation, organization and performance of a movement. It involves the partial loss of the ability to perform a purposeful, coordinated movement or gesture.
Management of this condition requires a comprehensive medical evaluation by a pediatric physiatrist and often referrals to other medical specialists, i.e. neurologists.
