Autism Spectrum Disorder

Autism spectrum disorder is a pervasive developmental disorder characterized by severe deficits in social interaction and communication. Difficulties are noted in thinking, feeling, language and the ability to relate to others.

Developmental Coordination Disorders

Developmental coordination disorders, sometimes referred to as dyspraxia, affect the initiation, organization and performance of a movement. It involves the partial loss of the ability to perform a purposeful, coordinated movement or gesture.

Developmental Delays

Developmental delay occurs when the child has not met developmental milestones by the expected time period. Evaluations are performed by pediatric physiatrists and/or rehabilitation therapists at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital.

Learning Disorders

Examples of learning disorders are dyslexia, expressive language disorder, receptive language disorder, visual processing disorder, dysgraphia and auditory processing disorders.
