Mt.  Washington Pediatric Foundation Announces

New Board Members
 

BALTIMORE, MD (July 1). The Mt. Washington Pediatric Foundation, Inc., (“Foundation”) an advisory board of Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital (MWPH) announced today that two new board members have been selected to serve on the organization’s board of directors.  They were confirmed by the Mt. Washington Hospital Board of Trustees at the annual meeting in June, and will help further the hospital’s mission to provide support for the highest quality patient care programs for infants, children and adolescents.  The Foundation board raises, receives, invests and administers funds in support of this mission. The new board members are: Alison Cohen and Blake Sheehan.  Their terms began on July 1, 2020.

 

Alison Cohen graduated from the University of Delaware. After graduation, Alison took on a role in finance at her family-owned BMW dealership. She held various roles in the company and now leads as the Vice President of Priority 1 Automotive Group. Alison has been a huge supporter of MWPH, having been a corporate sponsor of the MWPH Storybook Gala for six years, serving on the gala committee for five years, two as auction chair and two of which she has been Chair of the event.

 

Blake Sheehan is a graduate of Georgetown University. She went on to receive her master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Currently, Blake is a partner and portfolio manager at Brown Advisory. She is very active in the Baltimore community and has served on the Storybook Gala committee for the last seven years including two as chair of community events and is co-chair of the corporate and foundation division of the hospital’s campaign. She will also be taking on the role of treasurer of the Foundation Board.

I know that their passion and enthusiasm for MWPH will elevate the great work that we’re doing for the hospital and our community”, said Lauren Perlin, new chair of the Foundation Board. “I’ve had the pleasure of serving on the board for the last five years and very much look forward to stepping into my new role as chair. Every member of this board is deeply committed to the hospital’s mission and vision and we are all excited to do our part in supporting the hospital’s growth in the coming year.”

As the hospital’s Centennial quickly approaches, Perlin notes, “Leading the Foundation Board towards the hospital’s Centennial in 2022 will be an exciting way to highlight and celebrate a century of outstanding care for the children of Baltimore and beyond.”
