Universal Exercise Unit (Spider Cage) Therapy is provided in our Ability Center. The unit is a three sided wire walled space that allows a therapist to use a variety of bungees, belts, pulleys and/or weights to provide individually determined support and strengthening.

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital (MWPH) recently announced the retirement of its Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Vice President of Medical Affairs, Richard Katz, MD, MBA, FAAP. His more than 20 years of dedicated service has enabled MWPH to evolve from a long-term nursing facility for children to a state-of-the-art, pediatric post-intensive care and multidisciplinary rehabilitation center of excellence.

MWPH offers comprehensive, expert evaluation and management of various degrees of hearing loss in infants, children and adolescents (ages 0-21). Early identification and intervention of a hearing impairment is crucial for the development and enhancement of communication skills.

The Early Detection Team at Mt Washington Pediatric Hospital is an Interdisciplinary team of therapists (OT and PT) and physicians (Physiatrist and Developmental Pediatrician) who identify infants at risk for Cerebral Palsy
