The MWPH Community Health Advisory Board (CHAB) was created to more effectively guide the MWPH Community Benefit Program.  Members of CHAB help plan, develop and implement community outreach programs in order to improve the health equity of the communities we serve. Specifically selected from Baltimore City and Baltimore County community organizations, schools, government and advocacy groups, the group also includes MWPH Executive Leadership.

CHAB objectives include:

  • Advising the MWPH Community Benefit and Injury Prevention Program on strategies to achieve community health improvement goals;
  • actively engaging in current public policy and health advocacy;
  • assisting in allocating resources to appropriate community needs;
  • making a significant impact while contributing to the lives of the underserved in Baltimore City and surrounding Counties; and
  • fostering relationships with likeminded people and organizations.
