Lauren Brown, certified car seat tech, installs car seat for patient family

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death and disabling injury for children in the United States. Fortunately, many of these injuries can be prevented.

The MWPH Car Seat Installation and Injury Prevention Program is a joint effort with the Safe Kids Baltimore and Kids in Safety Seats (KISS). The program provides patient parents and community members’ hands-on education and assistance with the proper use of child restraint systems and seat belts. To schedule a car seat installation or learn more about our car seat program, call 410-578-8600, ext.7328.

The State of Maryland's Department of Mental Health and Hygiene website also provides parents with direct access to the KISS MD (Kids in Safety Seats Maryland) Calendar. Here, parents can schedule appointments to have their child's safety seat installed by a certified technician at their convenience, by appointment and closer to their home.
