“Do-Gooders” (also known as the Community Advocacy Program at MWPH) work strategically to implement programming that has a positive impact in the community. With a mission to lower poor health outcomes in Baltimore city and promote advocacy, wellness, community engagement and empowerment, MWPH reaches beyond the hospital walls to care for the community.
According to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), hospitals were required to perform a community health needs assessment in fiscal year 2011, 2012, or 2013, adopt an implementation strategy to meet the community health needs identified, and beginning in 2013, perform an assessment at least every three years thereafter.
If you have any questions or would like to make comment on the Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital Community Health Needs Assessment, please contact the Community Benefit Program Manager, Rachana Patani. Thank you!
