Spina Bifida
Spina bifida is a developmental birth defect involving the neural tube. As well, the spinal vertebrae overlying the open portion of the spinal cord do not completely form or close. The management of this condition is complex and there are many components of care that must be addressed. Neurological and musculoskeletal issues may arise requiring a variety of medical specialists as well as the need for various rehabilitation therapies.
