Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology

The pediatric gynecology program at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital offers young females treatment for all pediatric and adolescent gynecological issues including those associated with special needs and chronic illness.

The doctors and staff at MWPH realize that first impressions last, and a girl's first visit to a gynecologist is usually the most important one. At MWPH we make every effort to ensure that a girl's first visit to a gynecologist is a pleasant one.

Special emphasis is placed on patient doctor relations while offering the latest in pediatric and adolescent care. Technical jargon is kept at a minimum and all issues are broken down into easily understandable ideas and concepts.

Family plays a large role in this process and communication with family members is encouraged. Our pediatric and adolescent gynecologist, Dr. Cortney M. Yarbrough is one of the best in her field and is specially trained in this area.

Dr. Yarbrough is experienced in diagnosing and treating a variety of common gynecologic problems for the infant, child, young adolescent and teen. Dr. Yarbrough brings a wealth of knowledge to this position and a child friendly approach to the unique issues and concerns associated with pediatric and adolescent gynecology.
