Mary Miller recognized as one of Baltimore’s “Best in Finance”

BALTIMORE, MD (June 9) – Baltimore Business Journal (BBJ) has named Mary Miller, CFO and Vice President of Finance and Business Development of Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital (MWPH), as one of Baltimore’s “Best in Finance” in 2017. Miller and the other winners were honored this morning at a breakfast at the American Visionary Art Museum.

Baltimore Business Journal selected its honorees based on nominations sourced from readers and the knowledge of reporters and editors. Candidates were required to be a CFO or top financial manager – having held the position for at least one year – and be based in the Greater Baltimore area. The seven individuals selected demonstrated financial growth of their companies, success overcoming challenges, positive leadership and more.

“To speak in financial terms, Mary Miller is one of the greatest assets of our hospital and our mission,” explained Sheldon Stein, president and CEO of MWPH. “We’re proud to learn that the BBJ has named her Best in Finance. I know that her vision, leadership and dedication propels Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital forward.”

“It is truly an honor to work for such a mission-focused organization,” said Miller. “Providing our patients with the best possible care is our goal and I’m happy to be a part of that.”
