The fever was high, and spread quickly through town - but that’s a good thing! Fashion Fever made its return this year, and it’s one for the record books. A sold-out crowd of more than 200 guests caught Fashion Fever 2010 - they were treated to local celebrities working the catwalk, a silent auction with almost 40 packages on which to bid, local vendors, and delicious food - all on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The best part: all the proceeds benefit the patients and programs of Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital.
"We’d like to offer a huge thanks to everyone involved," said Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital’s President and CEO Sheldon Stein. "In addition, I can’t thank our supporters enough for coming out and helping the hospital today," he added.
The lovely event was held at the historic Grey Rock mansion in Pikesville, with a delicious lunch provided by Simply Elegant Catering. Prior to a sit-down lunch, guests and supporters participated in a silent auction with items including a signed Ravens football, golf for 4 and a fabulous Sailing Package in Annapolis, with lots of other goodies as well.
A definite highlight was the Fashion Show, which featured styles by Lori K, Yoicks! and Wee Chic with local celebrities and professional models joining hospital supporters and their children on the runway. WJZ TV’s own Adam May & Weijia Jiang, along with Paralympic gold medalist Jessica Long, Baltimore Ravens Community Relations Manager, Melanie LeGrande and Baltimore-based recording artist Slim Man, all walked the runway like seasoned professionals.
"It was a wonderful opportunity to meet both new and recurring friends of the hospital who came out to enjoy the day at such a great event," says Stein, adding, "Their support will continue to help the hospital provide care and services that our young patients need in order to get healthy."
We hope to see everyone next year!
