Cost:

$85 - Proceeds to benefit the patient care programs at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital.

Family Support Group Meeting
Date & Time: First & Third Tuesdays (monthly); 6-7:30 p.m.
Light supper provided
Location: Medical Conference Room

Description:

The purpose of the support group is to assist parents/caregivers in dealing with the daily issues of caring for children with special needs. All families of current and former inpatients are encouraged to attend.

Free.

Diabetes Support Meeting
Date & Time: Quarterly - times vary
Location: Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital - Hospital Boardroom

Description:

The Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital holds Juvenile Diabetes Support Meetings quarterly in the hospital's boardroom. The Diabetes Support Group is open to children living with the day-to-day demands of Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus and their family members.

Cost:

Free.

Sibshops Program
Date & Time: Various times throughout the year
Location: Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital - Hospital Boardroom

Description:

This unique program is designed to provide peer support for eight to 13 year-old siblings of children with special needs. The group activities provide a forum for questions and discussion in dealing with the many issues of having a special needs brother or sister.

Cost:

There is a nominal charge for the four workshops - scholarships are available. Registration is required.
