Description: High School students, aged 15-18, who are interested in a health care career, may submit an application to participate in this exciting week-long day camp held on the campus of our hospital. Students will be assigned to a different clinical

The 11th Annual Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital Golf Tournament
Date & Time: Wednesday, October 6, 2010;
Registration/Range Balls/Breakfast: 7:30-9 a.m.
Shotgun Start at 9 a.m.
Location: Bulle Rock
320 Blenheim Lane
Havre de Grace, MD 21078
Description: The tournament will be a Captains Choice format. All golfers have a chance to win a new car by scoring a hole-in-one at the designated hole. Prizes awarded to first, second, third, middle and last place, longest drive and closest to the pin.

Bulle Rock has received honors & accolades from publications such as Golf Digest, Golf Magazine, Golf Week & Washington Golf Monthly. Brain Injury Family Support Group
Date & Time: Every Tuesday / 5-6:30 p.m.
Location: Main Hospital Bldg./ CPAR Conference Room /1st Floor
Description: Dr. Brenda Elliott and Stephanie Reap, LCSW-C are co-facilitating a support group for families who have children with brain injuries. Topics will include: Brain Basics, Myths and Misconceptions, Developmental Stages, Transitioning Home, Rehab Services, Grief and Loss, and effects on siblings, to name a few. Refreshments will be provided.

Diabetes Support Group
Date & Time: Third Wednesdays (monthly) / 5-6 p.m.
Location: Rosenberg Outpatient Building
Description: For kids and teens living with type I diabetes and their families. Meetings are led by psychology services. A new topic discussed each month.

Family Support Group
Date & Time: First & Third Tuesdays (monthly) / 6-7:30 p.m.
Light supper provided
Location: Medical Conference Room
Description: The purpose of the support group is to assist parents/caregivers in dealing with the daily issues of caring for children with special needs. All families of current and former inpatients are encouraged to attend.

Sibshops Program
Date & Time: Various times throughout the year
Location: Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital - Hospital Boardroom
Description: This unique program is designed to provide peer support for eight to 13 year-old siblings of children with special needs. The group activities provide a forum for questions and discussion in dealing with the many issues of having a special needs brother or sister.
Cost: There is a nominal charge for the four workshops - scholarships are available. Registration is required.
