About Camp N.O.A.H.

High School students, aged 15-18, who are interested in a health care career, may submit an application to participate in this exciting week-long day camp held on the campus of our hospital. Students will be assigned to a different clinical setting each day to provide a variety of experiences.

Time will be spent:

  • On the premature infant unit
  • On the toddler & adolescent unit
  • With occupational & physical therapists
  • With respiratory therapists
  • With child life specialists

Student campers will observe care practices, and be introduced to the world of health care. This is an exciting way for students to interact with health care professionals while gaining real world experiences.

Campers will receive:

  • A clinical scrub suit
  • A stethoscope
  • Lunches and snacks
  • CPR training
  • Knowledge of the interdisciplinary approach of today’s health care

Application Process

Interested students need to submit a completed application packet PDF no later than May 1, 2010 to be considered for this summer’s session, July 26-30. Selected candidates will be notified by June 1, 2010. If you are chosen for participation you will need to submit a current immunization.

Required for application:

  • Completed application form PDF
  • Letter of recommendation from a teacher
  • Essay, of no more than 500 words, on why you would like to be chosen for this camp
