We offer three benefit plans from which to choose. All plans feature in- and out-of-network provider services and prescription drug benefits.

We offer two dental plans, both of which allow employees to visit any dental provider of their choice.

Our vision plan features discounted pricing on exams, frames and lenses.
- - Health Services
Flu shots and Hepatitis B vaccines are available to employees on an annual basis at no charge.
- - Personal Health Coach Program
This free program helps employees and eligible dependents learn about, and better manage, chronic health conditions. Personal Health Coaches are registered nurses who can answer questions about your medical conditions and provide information about treatment options. Participants receive a $25 gift card upon program enrollment, and a $50 gift card upon program completion.
- - Discounted Medical Plan Premiums for Tobacco-Free Employees
Beginning in 2009, non-tobacco users will qualify for a discount on their employee medical plan contributions.
- - Free Annual Physical Exam
We have eliminated the co-pay requirement for annual physicals. We are also offering a $25 gift card to employees for simply having an annual physical.
- - Pre-Certification and Case Management Assistance
Call before you go into the hospital, and we'll coordinate your stay. If your health care needs require special attention upon discharge, a nurse will be available by telephone to help arrange for your care.
- - Maternity Management Program
This program is designed to help expectant mothers have a happy, healthy pregnancy. You'll be paired with a maternity nurse, who will coach you by telephone throughout your pregnancy.

It's 10:00 p.m. on Saturday night... should I take my coughing child to the emergency room?...Cold or hot, how do I treat a sprain?...What is this medication I just picked up from the pharmacy? Call a nurse any time, day or night, for those important questions that need answers now. More reliable than your best friend's mother.

Call to listen to information about any of 1,500 health topics (most also available in Spanish) 24 hours a day for those who want to know more about a certain disease or condition.
Your Financial Security
- - Supplemental Life Insurance
Employees may purchase additional life insurance in amounts equal to one or two times their salary, up to $400,000, at discounted rates.
- - Flexible Spending Account
MWPH offers all eligible employees access to a pre-tax spending account for health and dependent care expenses, which provides end-of-year tax savings.
- - Short-Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) Insurance
Providing eligible employees with income continuation protection, these benefits pay 60% of the employee's weekly base salary to a maximum of $500 (STD), and 60% of monthly base salary to a maximum of $7,000 (LTD).
- - Group Term Life Insurance
This 100%-employer-paid benefit provides coverage equal to the employee's annual salary, with a maximum benefit of up to $400,000.
- - Pension Plan
MWPH offers a cash balance pension plan based on salary and credited years of service. Candidates are eligible after one year of continuous employment.
- - 403(b) Tax-Deferred Savings Plan
Pre-tax contributions are permitted up to IRS limits. All employees are eligible immediately to participate in the MWPH tax-deferred voluntary retirement plan.
- - 403(b) Employer Contribution Plan
Hospital contribution is made to all eligible employees after two years of continuous employment.
- - Tuition Assistance Program
MWPH will reimburse the cost of tuition on approved courses taken at accredited colleges.
- - Loan Forgiveness Program
MWPH offers reverse tuition to repay student loans for identified critical positions.
- - 529 College Savings Plan
This program enables individuals to save and invest on a tax-favored basis in order to fund future college and graduate school expenses for a child or beneficiary.
- - Supplemental Short-Term Disability
This voluntary, employee-paid benefit ensures 25% to 60% of income tax-free coverage, up to $3,000 per month, in the event of an accident or illness. Spousal coverage is also available.
- - Voluntary Universal Life Insurance
This voluntary, employee-paid benefit combines life insurance protection with an ability to grow cash value.
- - Critical Illness Insurance
This voluntary, employee-paid benefit provides lump sum cash of $5,000- $50,000 in the event of a defined critical illness.

All MWPH employees are eligible to participate in the Point Breeze Credit Union.
Your Life
- - Paid Time Off
Vacation is based on classification and years of service. PTO is available after 90 days. Any time over 80 hours per year may be sold back for 100% of its base value. Plus, you'll earn:

10 days per year based on a 40-hour work week.Holiday
