Even a small gift is a big deal to our children

How You Can Help

Happy Children

Good health is something we want every child to enjoy. So it's not surprising that when we learn of sick children, we wonder what we can do to help.

You can help by sending a donation to Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital to support our inpatient and outpatient programs. For 80 years, Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital has been caring for children from birth to 18 years of age with special medical and rehabilitative needs.

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital is a community-supported nonprofit institution. We serve without regard to ability to pay. As a result, more than 70 percent of our patients come from families of limited incomes. Our nonprofit corporate status means that we rely solely on patient revenue and private charitable donations for our operating health.

Whether a patient is a tiny baby who is born HIV positive or a teenager who has sustained a brain injury from an accident, these children must live daily with overwhelming problems that would challenge the strongest of us.

Your gift can be unrestricted, which allows the Board of Trustees to use it where the need is the greatest. Or your gift can be designated to one of many special areas:

"Help that Heals" is an innovative and ongoing development program that welcomes support from individuals and companies in the community to purchase and donate vital medical equipment to Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital.

Items range in price from $1,000 to $50,000. Each item is key to the mission of Mt. Washington; and, for the most part represent acquisitions that the hospital's current funding will not support.

In a world of constantly changing care and medical breakthroughs, the need for updated equipment changes rapidly. The cost of equipment usually far exceeds the resources of a hospital.

It is the objective of Help that Heals, to provide our children with the medical equipment needed to help them recover.
